Alex is an art educator, art lover, practicing artist, mother, and enthusiast for all things silly. Alex celebrates the creative spirit in each child, getting to know their skills, learning styles, way of thinking, and what makes them giggle. Her strengths lie in her ability to create authentic art programs that will increase creativity, self-identity, and wonder in an inspiring & safe space. She believes in fostering a sense of play while children explore materials and techniques during the creative process.  Her goal is to provide students with the skills and environment necessary to experience the empowerment of art, as it did for her as a shy child.

Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education and is working toward her Master's Degree.  She has over 16 years of professional art teaching experience. Dot to Dot Art Workshop was Alex Roberts' long running dream to create an inspiring space for the community to share the creative experience with. She currently spreads joy through art education here at Dot to Dot Art Workshop, The Laurel School, Brewster, & Community School at Legacy Farm, West Barnstable. Her previous experience includes teaching art at Wellfleet Elementary School and the Cape Cod Museum of Art.

In her own work, Alex utilizes multimedia, exploring themes ranging from identity to biology. Her excitement about creating new pieces and experiences with her students is absolutely contagious. You can find Alex out exploring nature with her two daughters, Emelia and Ellery.  Or enjoying music with her husband, Jake. She and her family value their time together with their several animals, appreciating all the little things that make big happiness.

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Lisa Palladino to the Dot to Dot Art Workshop team. Lisa’s talent, experience, background, and warm personality are a treasure. Lisa grew up with an interest in art and was fortunate to find a mentor while in high school. As a result of this encouragement, she decided to pursue her interest in visual art at Sarah Lawrence College and then went on to obtain her MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute. After graduating from the SF Art Institute she embarked upon teaching art to kids ages 5 and up, as well as teaching adult classes. During her eight-year career as an art instructor, she became increasingly interested in sharing her knowledge and passion for art, as her mentor had with her. Additionally, she realized her interest in the inner worlds expressed by people through their artistic endeavors. She found herself back in school studying art therapy, ultimately acquiring a PhD in Clinical Psychology and becoming licensed in the state of CA. This past spring she moved from Ojai, CA, to Wellfleet and decided to return to her love for painting, drawing and teaching art. Lisa teaches Beginners Drawing for ages 9+ and possible plans for adults and younger students are in the works for the future.
