ALEX ROBERTS:

OWNER/LEAD INSTRUCTOR
🔴➖🟡➖🔵

Alex Roberts is a licensed art educator with over 23 years of experience inspiring young artists. She holds a degree in Art Education and a master’s degree in Art Education from UMass Dartmouth.

Alex teaches at Dot to Dot Art Workshop and Wellfleet Elementary School, and also leads grant-funded art programs through Cape Cod Children’s Place.

Once a shy child who found her confidence through art, Alex is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming space where kids feel emotionally safe, artistically empowered, and truly seen.

Her playful, process-focused approach blends thoughtful curriculum with a deep understanding of social-emotional learning. She weaves music, books, imaginative materials, and meaningful conversation into her classes, creating experiences that engage the whole child.

Dot to Dot Art Workshop is Alex’s long-time dream come to life: a vintage-inspired studio where kids and grown-ups can connect through creativity. Whether they’re making art, exploring open-ended materials, or figuring out how the rotary phone works, children leave not only with artwork, but with confidence, joy, and meaningful connections.

When she’s not in the studio, Alex is spending time with her two teenage daughters, walking in the woods, or heading to a concert with her husband Jake, often with Prince turned all the way up.

Her all-time favorite song is “Ain’t Nobody” by Chaka Khan, a reminder that joy, rhythm, and a little soul make everything better.

mS. REBECCA:

STUDIO INSTRUCTOR
🔴➖🟡➖🔵

Rebecca Shanahan brings over 10 years of experience in elementary education to her art teaching practice.

A lifelong creator, dedicated wildlife enthusiast, and mom of two high school hockey players, Rebecca brings warmth, patience, and curiosity to the studio. She is passionate about nurturing creativity and artistic growth in children, and believes art is a powerful tool for self-expression, problem-solving, and discovery.

Her teaching approach encourages experimentation, creative thinking, and confidence. In the studio, Rebecca helps children feel supported, inspired, and free to explore their own unique artistic voices.

When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find Rebecca wandering in nature, soaking in the beauty of the moment. Her favorite color is sea green, her favorite food is Italian, and she’s always dreaming up new ways to make the world a little more creative.
