FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & POLICIES

FAQ’S

Can I stay with my child during class?
Classes for ages 5+ are drop-off at this time. Caregivers are welcome for Art Start classes for ages 3–5, though independence is gently encouraged when appropriate.

Do you offer aprons/smocks?
Aprons are available, but please dress your child in clothing you do not mind getting artfully messy. A messy day usually means a fun and creative day.

My child has additional needs; can he/she take art classes at Dot to Dot Art Workshop?
We welcome all children and want every child to feel supported at Dot to Dot. While our staff does not have formal training in special education, we are always happy to learn from caregivers about what helps their child feel comfortable, successful, and included in class.

I am a practicing artist with teaching experience, can I teach a class at Dot to Dot Art Workshop?
Yes — we are always excited to connect with local artists and creative educators who have something meaningful and fun to offer children or adults. Contact Alex to share your vision, and depending on scheduling and availability, we may be able to develop a class or workshop together. You can also visit our Teach Here tab for more information.

Policies:

  • Doors open at the scheduled class start time. We ask that children be picked up promptly at the listed end time.

  • If your child is ill or showing signs of becoming sick, please keep them home. We do not offer make-up classes for absences at this time.

  • Tuition must be paid in full to reserve your child’s place in class. Payment may be made through online registration or by check via mail, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

  • If a class must be canceled due to an emergency, a make-up class will be scheduled and announced whenever possible. If that is not possible, other arrangements will be made by the instructor.

  • If someone other than a parent or guardian will be picking up your child, please notify staff in advance. We will not release a student to anyone who has not been authorized by you.

  • Snow Days: If there is a snow cancellation or early dismissal due to bad weather, Dot to Dot Art Workshop will contact families as soon as possible by email through Sawyer. A social media announcement will also be made.

  • Class sessions may be canceled due to low enrollment. In that case, a full refund will be issued.
