WORKSHOP TERMS
DOT TO DOT ART WORKSHOP WILL PROVIDE
Studio Space
Use of the studio, including tables, chairs, restroom facilities, and basic utilities.
Sales Opportunities
A designated area may be provided for a small pop-up shop during your workshop. Instructors may sell their own artwork or products commission-free and are welcome to bring business cards, flyers, or other promotional materials to share or leave in the studio.
Tools and Supplies
Access to agreed-upon non-consumable studio tools, such as scissors, X-Acto knives, brushes, palettes, and water containers. Some consumable materials may also be provided when agreed upon in advance.
Registration and Payment Collection
Dot to Dot will create a workshop listing on our website and manage participant registration and credit card payment collection unless other arrangements have been made.
Promotion and Exposure
Dot to Dot will support workshop promotion through website placement and social media sharing. Instructors are also expected to actively promote their workshop through their own channels to help encourage strong enrollment.
WORKSHOP AND CLASS INSTRUCTORS WILL PROVIDE
A Short Proposal
Please provide a brief written description of what you plan to teach, along with clear photographs that may be used for promotion.
A finished promotional image or flyer is also welcome. Canva is a helpful and accessible tool for creating one.
Promotion
Instructors are expected to share and promote their class or workshop through their own social media, email lists, professional networks, and other appropriate channels.
Dot to Dot will provide promotional support but cannot guarantee enrollment or be solely responsible for filling a workshop.
Instruction and Classroom Management
Instructors are responsible for providing engaging instruction and maintaining a welcoming, safe, organized, and well-managed studio environment throughout the workshop.
Specialized Supplies and Consumable Materials
Instructors are generally responsible for providing any specialized tools, project-specific supplies, and consumable materials required for their workshop unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
Setup and Cleanup
Instructors are responsible for all workshop setup and for returning the studio to its original condition afterward. A studio cleanup checklist will be provided.
COMPENSATION TERMS
Unless otherwise agreed upon in advance:
The instructor receives 60% of collected workshop fees.
Dot to Dot Art Workshop retains 40% of collected workshop fees.
The compensation structure may vary depending on the workshop, materials, staffing needs, or other arrangements. Any changes will be discussed and agreed upon before registration opens.
Instructor payment will be issued by check or Venmo within seven business days after the workshop, class, or session has concluded.
SUMMER PROGRAMMING
Compensation for summer programming is generally based on an agreed-upon hourly rate because programs are collaboratively planned with Alex.
The hourly rate, responsibilities, schedule, materials, and other program details will be confirmed before the summer program begins.
